The establishment of Bihar School Education Board was one of the step which helped a lot in improving the standard of education in Bihar. After independence in 1951 the literacy rate in Bihar was only 13.49 and now it has the literacy rate of 63.82. It shows some improvement. the establishment of BSEB helped a lot in this improvement. It is a board of education for Govt. and private schools under the Government of Bihar. It has its head quarter in Patna which is the capital of Bihar. This board is established to conduct secondary and higher secondary examinations on the basis of the course prescribed by the Govt. of Bihar. BSEB conducts exams twice a year annual and supplementary. Normally annual exams are conducted in the months of February and March and Supplementary exams are conducted in the months of July and August.
The results of annual exams are announced in the month of June and the results supplementary exams are announced in the months of November and December. But according to official sources this year the result of Higher Secondary Examination is expected to be announced on 16th of May. This exam was conducted in the months of February and March this year. Around 900000 students, who took part in this exam and waiting for their results can see their result on Bihar School Education Board's official website biharboard.bih.nic.in from 16th of May 2015.
