The Nagaland board of school education was formatted approximately 40 years ago in the year of 1973 on 15 November 1973 under an act by the Nagaland legislative assembly and it started its working in the year of 1974 by conducting its first high school leaving certificate examination. This board was established for the development and promotion of school education in the state and this board is working under the fully control of government of Nagaland. This board also performs some other functions like training camps for the teachers and it also organizing seminars.
