The Nagaland board of education was established in the year of 1974 on 1st October 1974 under the Act by Nagaland legislative assembly and this board conducted it's first examination of high school leaving certificate examination in March 1975. For conducted this examination 6 exam centres were decided and approximately 2008 students appeared in this examination. By passing the time there we can see tremendous change in the evolution system of NBSE which has tremendously improved and the main finction of the board is to conduct the examinations of both class 10th (HSLC) and class 12th (HSSLC).
